Who is Kirk Jay?
Kirk Jay is an ambitious American country singer and performer. He is also the founder and member of a country band, “Kirk Jay & Kuntry Funk.” At present, he is dominating the media content through his exceptional performances on NBC series “The Voice” Season 15.

At five years old, Kirk began singing in the choir and playing drums at church. In 2014, he met a music manager who took him to perform for Teddy Gentry for the band Alabama. In 2015, he started doing open mics and stunned the audience with his country sound.

In the auditions of The Voice, Jay sang Rascal Flatts’ “Bless the Broken Road.” He received lots of applause from the audiences, and all four chair turns from the judges. The Alabama native Kirk has already secured his position on “The Voice” final 4.
Recently, in an episode of The Voice, Kirk dedicated a performance to his young fan, Courtney who is battling cancer. He sang John Michael Montgomery’s I Swear that his coach Blake Shelton considered the perfect song for ‘a country balladeer with a pop flair.’ Before the performance, Kirk said:
‘I’m gonna sing this song tonight in honor of someone who’s really special to me.’
The Voice judge Jennifer Hudson requested his fans to vote for him. She said:
‘Please, please vote for this boy. You need country albums, records. I wanna come to your concert and your shows – you blow me away every chance.’
Following that, Blake told Kirk:
‘Eighty percent of the things J-Hud talks to me about is you. She thinks you’re awesome.’
Adam Levine also praised Kirk’s ‘distinct’ tone, saying:
‘I’ll say it until I’m blue in my face, that’s one of the most important things about being a singer: the identifiability of your voice. I don’t even know if that’s a word. But you’re awesome.’
