The eight-time Grammy award-winning singer, Rihanna paid tribute to her 21-year-old cousin, Tavon Alleyne on Instagram. Not only Rihanna paid tribute to her cousin, she also called for an end to gun violence in the country. She expressed her warmth condolences on Instagram for 59million Instagram followers where she wrote:
RIP cousin. Can’t believe it was just last night that I held you in my arms! Never thought that would be the last time I felt the warmth in your body!!! Love you always man!
Rihanna also called for an end to gun violence by including a hashtag “#endgunviolence” at the end of the post.

According to TMZ, an unidentified suspect shot Tavon Alleyne “multiple times” while he was walking on a track near his home in the St Michael’s area around 7 pm. Police are currently searching for the shooter and have asked the public with information to contact the District A Police Station or Crime Stoppers Barbados. Tavon was rushed to a private hospital but died eventually because of the injuries.
