Unlike the professional life, Susanna Reid married life is too complicated. However, it seems like she has eventually moved on from her past life. Although she hasn’t made any official confirmations, she has finally broken her single record in November 2018. She went public with her new boyfriend, Steve Parish. The duo attended Crystal Palace vs. Chelsea match together as her boyfriend, Steve is a Crystal Palace manager. One of the sources said:

“Susanna and Steve are exclusively dating. It’s extremely early days but they’re having a lot of fun. They have known each other for several years through their connections to Palace.”

Previously, Reid was married to a former sports correspondent, Dominic Cotton. The duo exchanged their wedding vows in 1998. After 16 years togetherness, she divorced her husband in 2014. Despite the divorce, she still lives in the same house with her children and ex-husband who has a girlfriend.

Together with her ex-husband, Reid has three sons. Her eldest son, Sam is 16, Finn is 14, while the youngest one Jack turned 13. On the contrary, she formerly addressed her dating rumors, saying:

Susanna started her career from BBC Radio Bristol. Later, she joined BBC News 24 as a reporter. She also presented BBC’s online interactive service. Reid became a presenter for Breakfast News in 1998. After her second maternity break, BBC News Channel appointed her as a host.

In 2010, Reid stopped presenting Breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays for Sunday Morning Live. She also worked as the regular newsreader during the headlines on The Andrew Marr Show. Besides, she has also presented the BBC’s live coverage of Oscars in 2009 and 2010. In December 2013, she became a runner-up in the eleventh series of Strictly Come Dancing.

In October 2014, Reid joined ITV  for the new breakfast program Good Morning Britain, signing a £1 million salary contract. Since then, she has been co-hosting the show along with Ben Shephard and Piers Morgan.

Before, Susanna received a hefty sum of salary from BBC until 2014. In October 2018, she appeared as a cameo on Hollyoaks. In 2013 and 2015, Reid won the Television and Radio Industries Club’ award as Newsreader of the Year.

Susanna Victoria Reid was born in 1970 in Croydon, south London to her parents Due Smith and Barry Reid. She is the youngest of her parents’ three daughters. When she was nine, her parents got divorced. Her father worked as a management consultant, while her mother was as a nurse.

Reid attended independent Croham Hurst School, Croydon High School, and St Paul’s Girls’ School. Later, she studied London Politics, Philosophy, and Law at the University of Bristol. While in her university, she made to the short-list of “Best Student Newspaper” for The Guardian NUS student journalism awards in 1991. Later, she finished her Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from the Cardiff School of Journalism.

Reid recently celebrated her 48th birthday on December 10. She is of Scottish-English ethnicity. Her height measures only 5 feet 3 inches.
