Even though they have a very sound love life now, they had a pretty rocky start in the beginning. The year was around the 1970s when they began having problems. Kay struggled to keep her husband on track. She says,

“He had about 10 hard years. He didn’t act nice like he does now, especially when he was drinking. He was real selfish and didn’t want to be responsible.”

But it’s all in the past now. They are having quite the grand time now with their four children. They have four sons named Willie, Jules Jeptha, Jase and Alan and run their family business named Duck Commander.

Phil Robertson nearly fired for anti-gay comments; his family gives a statement on this

It was a recent issue regarding A&E tv show star Phil Robertson as he made some anti-gay comments and came into the spotlight. He was suspended from filming for nine days and the channel apologized for his language. In his interview, he commented;

“We never, ever judge someone on who’s going to heaven, hell. That’s the Almighty’s job, we just love ’em, give ’em the good news about Jesus , whether they’re homosexuals, drunks, terrorists.”

His comment resulted in the backlash from the public and also his TV show channel A&E apologized on his behalf,

“We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson’s comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty, his personal views in no way reflect those of A&E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community. The network has placed Phil under hiatus from filming indefinitely.”

But his family proudly stood his side and said that the channel owes Robertson family and all his Christians an apology. They gave out an official statement,

“While some of Phil’s unfiltered comments to the reporter were coarse, his beliefs are grounded in the teachings of the Bible. We have had a successful working relationship with A&E, but as a family we cannot imagine the show going forward without our patriarch at the helm. We are in discussions with A&E to see what that means for the future of Duck Dynasty.”

This all was later resolved between the channel and the family. They came back from the hiatus and carried on even better than before.
