Nicollette Sheridan exits Dynasty!
Nicollette Sheridan decided to exit from the CW drama Dynasty after over a year of giving justice to the role of Alexis Carrington in the series.
In fact, The CW and CBS Television Studios confirmed the news through a statement.
The statement read,
Nicollette Sheridan will be leaving Dynasty in order to focus on some personal family responsibilities. She was a valuable asset to the show and we wish her continued success in the future.
Sheridan will make her final appearance in the show in March. An insider maintained that the role might be recast but official information is not yet available.
Sheridan released her own statement early Tuesday stating,
Working on the Dynasty reboot and reprising the iconic role of Alexis has been thoroughly enjoyable, but the chance to spend precious time with my terminally ill mother is more important to me right now.
I am profoundly grateful to Mark Pedowitz (The CW) and David Stapf (CBS) for graciously allowing me to return to Los Angeles to be with her, and I wish them and everyone associated with the show nothing but continued success. I am hopeful that my fans will embrace my successor with as much passion as they embraced me.
The Dynasty Journey of Nicollette Sheridan
Nicolette Sheridan entered the world of Dynasty midway through the first season portraying the mother of all troublemakers. She played the role in succession to Joan Collins, the sole person responsible for the phenomenal role in the original ABC series.
This actually marked the first time Sheridan got involved in a major TV gig. She formerly departed from the reality TV show Desperate Housewives in 2009. Prior to the prominent role in Dynasty, Sheridan contributed her acting talents on the primetime soap drama Knots Landing, as a series regular.
Sheridan’s departure decision came after two other characters Nathalie Kelley, wife of Jordy Burrows who played Crystal and James Mackay famous as Steven, parted ways from the TV show.
Nicollette Sheridan’s decision to exit the series came as a shock to many fans. However, the journey of Dynasty will still carry on and this is seen as a light of glimmering hope to many of the show lovers.
