George and Tricarico met each other in 2007 via mutual friends. The two instantly clicked for each other and started their decade long relationship. To this day, they share an eight-year-old son, James Calombaris and a six-year-old daughter Michaela Calombaris.

Exact calculations indicated that the service owed $7.8 million to its staff. To this date, 515 current and previous staffs have got their payment including an extra $16,371 to nine employees of Jimmy Grants.

Calombaris had to personally pay a fine of $200,000 for his alleged poor staff payment. As for people, they think that the punishment was small in comparison to the fraud employees had to go through.

The whole thing took a toll on George’s reputed business in Melbourne. In an interview after the things escalated, the chef apologized for the happenings with a tear in his eye. He said that he loved his staff and the whole food industry. He requested customers to not punish his staff anymore for his deeds.
