The 60-year-old Mare Winningham couldn’t keep her marriage journey in limits since she has been divorced three times to date. Initially, she tied the knot with fellow actor or singer, Adolfo Martinez III, in 1981. Working in the same profession made them close and fall in love. 

Winningham, however, regretted the decision to marry the L.A. Law actor as they filed for divorce in 1948. They started having numerous conflicts and felt irreconcilable differences between them, which parted them apart.

Mary Winningham, shortly after breaking up with Martinez, found her soulmate in William Mapel, her second husband. They married in the same year, 1981 at an excellent location in front of close friends and family.

The Broadway actress and her lover dated for sometime before uplifting their relationship status. Mare spent fifteen years together with Mapel, who beats her other marital bonds in terms of time.

Winningham, however, couldn’t sustain her second marriage as well as they parted ways in 1996 with a finalized divorce agreement.

Mapel welcomed her first son, Riley Mapel, on 1981. But, she went through a tragedy on August 14, 2005, as he committed suicide. Later, she gave birth to twins Patric Mapel and Jack Mapel in 1985. Likewise, she welcomed daughters, Calla Louise Mapel and Happy Atticus Mapel on 1987 and 1988 respectively.
