Madonna has a message for us all: “We need to wake up.”

With both words and a violent depiction, Madonna Louise Ciccone calls all of us out through her new music video, God Control. The song talks about gun violence and shows the brutality of such transgression.

Madonna released her new song on Wednesday 26 June 2019 and it had the most heartfelt message from the singer.

The caption read,

This is your wake up call. Gun violence disproportionately affects children, teenagers, and the marginalized in our communities.

Ciccone went on to say,

Honor the victims and demand GUN CONTROL. NOW. Volunteer, stand up, donate, reach out. Wake up and insist on common sense gun safety legislation.

The 60 years’ old singer wants her fans and whoever who thoughts Gun Violence is a problem to join her in supporting several organizations.

The video starts off with a message, or more like a warning, to viewers and shows Madonna and other people being gunned down on a dance floor. This scene dwells on 2016 attack at the Pulse nightclub where close to 50 people died through such attacks.

While talking to CNN, Madonna stated that her video shows what happens when people shoot and that Guns kill!

A bullet rips through your body, knocks you to the floor and takes your life, and you bleed to death. I mean this is a reality.

The mother of six feels that a public gathering, any place or worship, school is a target, and nobody’s safe.

Madonna, the mother of Lourdes Leon, Rocco Ritchie, David Banda Mwale Ciccone Ritchie, Mercy James, Stelle Ciccone, and Estere Ciccone, said that gun safety and gun control is a huge issue in the US but then again, it’s not being addressed properly.
