As per TMZ, Luke Perry has been hospitalized after reportedly suffering a massive stroke.

As per Variety who received confirmations from Perry’s reps, the actor “is currently under observation at the hospital.”

Apparently, paramedics received a call about an “unspecified medical request” at about 9:39 a.m. Wednesday at Perry’s address, a spokesperson with the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed.

It was later verified that one person was taken to a nearby hospital. The spokesperson, however, was unable to confirm any names or the nature of the emergency medical attention.

Perry is currently playing Archie’s dad on the CW’s ‘Riverdale’ and previously played Dylan McKay on ‘Beverly Hills, 90210.’

In a rather co-incidental manner, the 52-year-old got hospitalized the same day Fox made an announcement of a six-episode revival of “Beverly Hills, 90210”. This features returning cast members such as Jason Priestley, Jennie GarthGabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green, Ian Ziering, and Tori Spelling.

Perry starred in the original series from 1990 to 1995 and again from 1998 to 2000. However, he had not been announced to return.

As per Fox’s announcement on Wednesday, the new ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ will see the original stars playing heightened versions of themselves. Spelling previously told ‘Access Live’ that Perry’s production schedule on ‘Riverdale’ would prohibit him from being a regular on the revival. However, he would do ‘do as many [episodes] as he can do.’
