Lauren Steadman is a British Paralympic athlete who has specialized in Paratriathlons. Besides, she is a double World Champion and six-time European Champion. She is also one of the 2008 Summer Paralympics participates. Currently, Lauren is famous as the contestant of 16th series of BBC’ Strictly Come Dancing.
At the age of 4, Lauren discovered her passion for swimming. When she turned 15, she competed for Team GB at her first Paralympic Games. Later, she appeared at the 2012 Summer Paralympics. The young sportswoman moved to sports after her uncle suggested paratriathlons. Following his advice, she managed to win a gold medal in 4 x 100 m freestyle relay at the Paralympic World Championships in 2009.
