To be a pregnant is one of the precious moments of every woman. Pregnancy lasts for about 40 weeks, from the first day of woman’s last menstruation period. A mother keeps their baby nine months in their womb.

What to do before getting pregnant?

Ovulation is the best time to get pregnant. This is the moment to focus on having sex. It is a good advice to lay in bed for 10 to 15 minutes after sex. Don’t go the bathroom during this time. If you wait 10 to 15 minutes, the sperm will get into the cervix. Sperm can stay up to 5 days having sex in the few days leading up to ovulation will increase your chances of getting pregnant, experts say. If there is sperm waiting around at the time the egg is released, there is a higher chance of being fertilized.

According to the survey, 30 percent get pregnant within one month. 60 percent get pregnant within three months and 80 percent get pregnant within about six months of conception.

Stages of Pregnancy

 

The stages of pregnancy are typically divided into three periods i.e. trimester period. The first trimester will last about 12 weeks during pregnancy. The second trimester last about 13 to 27 weeks and the third trimester start about 28 weeks and lasts until birth.

In the first trimester

Hormonal changes will affect almost every organ in the body like a headache, mood swing, weight gain or loss. At four weeks, embryo’s nervous system, heart, arm, the leg is being developed. At eight weeks, the embryo will be transferred into a fetus. All the main organs like fingers, toes, arm, and leg grow longer, face begun to develop.

In the second trimester

You will feel the sickness in the morning, and you will notice some more changes in the body. Eyebrows, eyelashes, fingernails, and toenails will be formed. By the end of the second trimester, you will even be able to feel your baby move and feel more active. Baby is about to 4 to 5 inches long. At 24 weeks, hair began to grow, lungs, bone marrow will be formed.

In the third trimester

Your face, ankles, and face start to swell. Your breast will start increasing. You will feel shortness of breath, heartburn, and difficulty in sleeping. Baby bones will be developed, at 32 weeks. The baby will blink eyes, and the baby will be about 16 to 19 inches long. At 36 weeks, the baby’s body fat will increase. From 37 to 40 weeks, all the organ of the child will start functioning on their own. Now the baby is ready to come outside in the world.

You have to take a lot of precautions while being pregnant. Go to the hospital from time to time for checkup.  While you are pregnant, do not take medicines which are not prescribed by a doctor, do not smoke, do not take alcohol, take a lot of rest. Do not take stress instead do meditation during pregnancy. Eat healthy food like fish and seafoods.
