Amidst the probation period, video of Ethan playing beer pong circulated in the media. At the same time, the duo of mother Tonya and son drove Mexico’s Pacific coast, where they rented an apartment.

But, the cops immediately caught them off when they tracked the mother’s cell phone in Domino’s Pizza as she ordered for one. Hence, the court sentenced Ethan to serve in prison for two years.

Ethan’s aunt, Carla Thompson believes Haleigh is so much in love with him that could change Ethan’s irresponsible etiquette.

“She has stuck by him all along; she’s been with him for years. I don’t think it will be long after he gets out of prison that they get married. She loves him very much and can’t wait for him to get out so they can start their life together. Yes! She is a very nice girl who is good for Ethan and keeps him grounded.”

She mentioned that he was not intended of slaughtering people though he was driving under intoxication.

“Now, nearly eight years after this horrific event, Ethan does not wish to draw attention to himself and requests privacy so he may focus on successfully completing his community supervision and going forward as a law-abiding citizen,” the lawyers’ statement cited.

The court sentenced him to 720 days jail on April 13, 2018. More recently on April 2, 2018, Ethan released from jail.

Being termed as affluenza, Ethan Couch is surely one of the wealthiest kids out there. During the runaway incident, his mother withdrew $30,000 from her joint account with Fred, Ethan’s father and drove to Mexico’s Pacific coast, where they rented an apartment.

As mentioned earlier, Ethan drove cars at the age of thirteen. When the head of the school queried such practice, Fred menaced him to purchase the school.

So, Fred transferred him from Anderson Private School to co-op based in Watauga, Texas. At the age of 15, he caught on minor alcohol possession with passed out and naked girl. As a result, law sentenced him to probation and eight hours of community service.

Ethan’s family also has a history of criminal charges. Fred charged with criminal mischief, theft, assault and impersonating a police officer. Similarly, Tonya had to face $500 fine and community service for reckless driving.

His father Fred Couch and his mother Tonya Couch are in legal troubles every since 2013. Tonya faced 10 years in state prison when she withdrew $30,000 and fled away with her son to Mexico.

Court reduced her bail from $1 million to $75,000 in January 2016 and released on bond.
