On June 15, 2013, Ethan Couch speed up in the residential areas of Texas under the influence of alcohol and drugs. He lost the control of the car and smashed with the group of people accompanied by SUV that had become stranded on the side of the road.
Four people were killed on the spots; nine people were injured, while two of the victims barely survived, one with complete paralysis.
According to the medical examinations, he was high on marijuana and other prescription drugs. The court prosecuted Ethan couch for intoxication manslaughter.
So the judge sentenced Ethan of 10-years probation along with long-term drug rehabilitation therapy following the affluenza support.

Ethan’s aunt, Carla Thompson believes Haleigh is so much in love with him that could change Ethan’s irresponsible etiquette.
“She has stuck by him all along; she’s been with him for years. I don’t think it will be long after he gets out of prison that they get married. She loves him very much and can’t wait for him to get out so they can start their life together. Yes! She is a very nice girl who is good for Ethan and keeps him grounded.”
She is from the Fort Worth suburb of Keller, working as a dog groomer at PetSmart but the staffs of store clarified that no one of her names works there. Ethan’s girlfriend opened up on his drunk driving case.
“Now, nearly eight years after this horrific event, Ethan does not wish to draw attention to himself and requests privacy so he may focus on successfully completing his community supervision and going forward as a law-abiding citizen,” the lawyers’ statement cited.
The court sentenced him to 720 days jail on April 13, 2018. More recently on April 2, 2018, Ethan released from jail.

Court reduced her bail from $1 million to $75,000 in January 2016 and released on bond.
