Beto O’Rourke was born as Robert Francis O’Rourke on September 26, 1972, at Hotel Dieu Hospital in El Paso, Texas. His father is Pat Francis O’Rourke and his mother is Melissa Martha O’Rourke. He holds an Irish and Welsh ancestry and his family gave him the nickname Beto, a common Spanish nickname.
